My name is Alicia, and as a wife and mother of two, I place a lot of value in family. My family is the reason I got into photography in the first place. I wanted to document all the special moments of my children’s lives, and be able to share them not only with my own kids as they grow, but with their children as well someday. Having lost my own mother recently to cancer I know firsthand how important it is to have pictures of your family to look back on and remember those we love when they are no longer with us.
Simply having all those moments documented wasn’t enough though. It’s great to look back on them from time to time, but it’s even better to have some of them front and center on display in your home to enjoy every single day. Suddenly those priceless, but less than perfect snapshots aren’t going to cut it! And this is why I emersed myself into the world of photography learning all I could to not only capture those images, but to do so in a way that they could be enjoyed by all and to last for many years to come.
I am happy to now be able to offer that same thing to other families. Custom photography isn’t for everyone, but it is an investment that can bring you joy to last through the years.
My style runs to the casual side, and I like things to look natural, and timeless. I am a natural light photographer and what that means is that I don’t use artificial lighting like you would find in a studio. Most of my sessions take place outside, but indoors is also an option with adequate light coming through a window. You can find more information on sessions in the Session Details section of my website.
As I mentioned above, my family is everything to me, and I am very grateful to have the opportunity to be a SAHM to my two boys. This means I have to limit my sessions to weekends for the most part, though I do occasionally take on an evening shoot. I find this works well for most families anyway since they also work during the week. To discuss booking a session, or if you have any questions please contact me…. contact info can be found in the Contact section of my website.
